Site Pre Scoping
This is part of our project planning stage which involves determining and documenting a list of specific project goals. In other words, it is what needs to be achieved and the work that must be done to deliver a project/ site for completion. During Site Pre-Scoping our trained supervisor will attend the job site and run through what is needed to complete the job and how to do so safely and efficiently.
For safety, we will always submit a Dial Before You Dig Request whenever the ground will need penetration. We then use the response from DBYD asset owners and locating tools to conduct asset location. This allows us to see where any underground assets may be located, such as gas, water or power for example. Also when working within certain distances to dangerous assets such as High Voltage Power or High-Pressure Gas mains, it would be determined at this time to apply for a permit to have a representative from the asset providers company to attend the site before the ground is broken and if we need to mobilize our Non-Destructive Digging Vehicle (Vac Truck) to complete the works at this site.
